Race Report by theTessman's.

This past weekend we travelled to Edmonton, AB where Ty raced at the RC Pro Canada National Finals.  Ty tq'd all four rounds of expert truggy.  At the start of the 45 minute truggy main, Ty pulled away from the field almost immediately and never looked back, he led the race from start to finish.  His HotBodies D8T handled flawlessly, along with his AKA Gridiron tires.

In the truggy A main 7 of the 14 drivers used AKA tires.

The rain throughout the weekend made for inconsistant conditions. In Truggy, Ty used AKA Truggy Gridiron's. He started out on theAKA Soft Truggy Gridiron's (14103S) at the beginning of qualifying and as the track conditions improved he went to the AKA Medium Truggy Gridiron's (14103M) and by the time the mains came he was on AKA's Hard Truggy Gridiron's (14103H) which held up very nicely in the long 45 minute main.

In expert buggy Ty also tq'd all four rounds, unfortunately on Sunday before the expert buggy main, a thunderstorm with heavy rain put an end to the mains.  The race was decided on qualifying points, giving Ty the top podium spot.

Ty also used AKA Gridiron's in buggy and the pattern was the same as in Truggy. Starting out on the soft compound and progressing to the medium compound by mid day. The rains eventually came which ended the day and washed out the buggy main which would have seen Ty on the same compound tire as in the Truggy main.

After the points were tallied Ty would also be awarded the 2009 RC Pro Canada National Championship for both expert truggy and expert buggy.
